Join Us for the St. Marks Community Health Fair on September 18th!
Wood County Health Department is teaming up with Wood County Hospital and Mercy Health to bring a fantastic opportunity to prioritize your health and well-being! Our Community Health Fair is set to take place on September 18 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 S College Dr, Bowling Green.
This event will be packed with valuable health services and resources for everyone in the community.
What’s Happening at the Health Fair:
- Free Health Screenings sponsored by the Wood County Hospital: Take advantage of free health screenings, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks. These screenings are a proactive step in monitoring your health and identifying any potential concerns early.
- Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines: Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be administered from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM. No appointment is necessary, and insurance will be billed for those who are insured. This is an excellent opportunity to update your vaccinations and protect yourself and your community.
- Free At-Home COVID Tests: At-home COVID tests will be available at no cost, providing you with a convenient option for monitoring your health.
- Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Unit: The Mercy Health Mobile Mammography unit will be on-site to offer mammograms. Eligibility criteria for this service include:
- Must be at least 40 years old.
- At least 365 days must have passed since your last mammogram.
- Must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Should be able to walk up and down stairs and stand unassisted.
- No history of breast issues such as nipple discharge, lumps, pain, or cancer in the past 2 years.
Mammograms are covered by most health plans. Please verify that Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital is an in-network provider with your insurance carrier.
