GENERAL SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing and evaluating the Wood County Health District community outreach and marketing programming. The coordinator will research and identify outreach opportunities including community meetings, events and other information distribution channels, and foster relationships with community-based organizations.

GENERAL SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This independent contractor position will support the COVID-19 vaccine clinics hosted and supported by Wood County Health Department (WCHD).  This position will administer vaccinations and provide other, related support for the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Selected candidates will be paid $150 per shift.  Shifts typically last 4 – 6 hours.  WCHD anticipates scheduling additional vaccination clinics in the coming months. Job duties include:

  • Gather and transport all needed supplies for vaccine operations;
  • Maintain vaccine cold chain;
  • Ensure vaccine is properly packed, according to applicable guidance, and that vaccine cold chain is maintained throughout vaccine operations;
  • Administer and/or draw vaccine;
  • Provide support and direction to volunteers at vaccine clinics to ensure vaccine clinics run smoothly;
  • Manage and protect patient records in the electronic systems used by WCHD, e.g., ArmorVax;
  • Collect and secure forms that contain protected health information;
  • As needed, support patient registration/screening, in accordance with WCHD procedures;
  • Support clinic flow and patient movement;
  • Monitor vaccine supplies, in coordination with the clinical team, and ensure resupplies occur, as needed;

GENERAL SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Initiate prompt communication with people that are positive cases or exposed to COVID-19 (contacts) through text, phone calls, email, and other communication platforms as necessary. Communicate with cases/contacts in a professional and empathetic manner. Collect and record information on symptoms into a database. Provide cases/contacts with approved information about Ohio isolation/quarantine procedures. Use a telephone, computer and electronic equipment to capture data. Enter data collected into database system in accurate and timely manner. Support response to the broader COVID-19 response efforts, including the vaccination campaign.  Maintain daily contact with supervisor. Assignments will vary between remote work and in-person work at locations within Wood County.
