New Ohio Quitline Helps Ohioans Quit Tobacco
Ohio Quitline has helped Ohioans quit tobacco products for over 15 years. The Ohio Department of Health has partnered with RVOHealth to offer support to Ohioans to quit nicotine products in new ways. Individuals can still receive support through a cessation coach via phone call by contacting 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669). If you prefer you can also enroll through texting READY to 34191 or online at Quit for Life. The Ohio Quitline is there to support Ohioans quit any nicotine products including cigarettes, vapes, smokeless tobacco, hookah or any other form of nicotine. Nicotine replacement therapy is available for those who qualify. Relapse prevention tools are available post-quit to provide on-going support.
Parents, educators and youth can also access Live Vape Free | for educational materials aimed at youth on the dangers of vaping. Support through coaching is also available to help youth quit vaping.
