Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)

Wood County Health Department participates in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. When you retire, or if you become disabled, you may receive a pension based on earning from your employment with the Wood County Health Department. For more information, visit the OPERS website.

If upon retirement you receive a pension through OPERS and you are also entitled to a benefit from Social Security based on either their own work or their spouse's work, your pension may affect the amount of the Social Security benefit you receive.
